Crypto Asset Management: The Next Big Thing

Crypto Asset Management: The Next Big Thing

Capital Markets CIO Outlook | Thursday, June 21, 2018

At a time when cryptocurrency is a buzzword, and everyone is capitalizing on it, there is a great need for the management of these crypto assets. With a market capitalization of nearly $400 million, it is paramount. Currently, cryptocurrency traders require wallets that accept the form of currency in order for them to trade, after which the trader must find a currency exchange that accepts the specific cryptocurrency that they wish to trade. This is all possible, but not a walk in the park that many people expect it to be before they get involved.

To get around this problem, companies are introducing tools that work well with asset management in the financial market. Here, it is possible for traders to consolidate their holdings while at the same time, improve their portfolio management. Today, several organizations offer crypto asset management on the customer’s behalf as part of their services. However, there are numerous exchanges emerging, which offer a combination of cryptocurrencies, but none with a comprehensive list. Part of the problem is that it is extremely easy to start a cryptocurrency and receive funding.

Crypto asset management platforms are being put into place to simplify the entire process by removing the middle-man, giving users the ability to manage their own portfolios. Moreover, for the everyday trader that lacks the thorough understanding of the cryptocurrency market, the tools offered by these platforms will enable easier entry and better chances of success.
